Adoption Process
We want to make sure every cat finds the perfect forever home. Here is how our adoption process works.
Submit an Application
Fill out our adoption application with information about your home, lifestyle, and what you are looking for in a feline companion. All applications are reviewed by our volunteer team.
Meet & Greet
Once your application is approved, we will arrange a meet and greet with the cat or kitten you are interested in. This helps ensure a good match for both you and the animal.
Home Check
We may conduct a brief home check to ensure your environment is safe and suitable for a cat. This is a friendly visit — we want to help set you and your new companion up for success.
Welcome Home
Once approved, you will sign an adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee. Your new fur-ever family member comes fully vetted — combo tested, vaccinated, wormed, and flea treated.
Adoption Requirements
To ensure the best outcome for our cats, all adopters must meet the following requirements.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must provide valid photo ID
- Renters must provide written landlord approval for pets
- All current pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines
- Agree to keep the cat indoors only
- Agree to provide regular veterinary care
- Agree to return the cat to Purrs of Hope if you can no longer care for them
